My truth....

To many Jesus Christ is only a person subject for a beautiful painting, a heroic theme for a pen, a beautiful form for a statue and athought for a song; but to those who have heard His voice, who have felt his pardon, who have recieved his benediction, He is music, warmth, light, joy, hope and salvation, a friend who never forsakes, who lifts us when others try to push us down. We cannot wear him out; we pile on Him all our griefs and troubles. He is always redy to lift us; He is always ready to help us; He addresses with same love, He beams upon us with the same smile; he pities us with the same compasion. there is no name like His. It is more inspiring than Ceaser's, more musical that Beethovan's, more conquering than Napolean's, more eloquent than Demosthenes', more patient that Lincoln's. The name of Jesus throbs with all life, weeps with all pathos, groans with all pains, stoops with all love. its breath is laden with perfume. Who like Jesus can pity a homeless orphan? Who like Jesus can welcome a prodigal back home? Who like Jesus can make a drunkard sober?. Who like Jesus can illuminate a cemetry plowed with graves? Who like Jesus can make a queen unto God out of a woman of street? Who like Jesus can catch the tears of human sorrow in His bowl? Who like Jesus can kiss away our sorrow?????

I struggle for a metaphor with which to express Jesus. He is not like the Bursting forth of an orchestra; that is too loud and it may be out of tune. He is not like the sea when lashed into a rage by a storm; that is too boisterous. He is not like a mountain, wreathed in lightning, canopied with snow, it is too solitary and remote.

This is for a new turn in faith life. So often we are troubled cos we are worried about our future. We know God has promised to help us but we are unsure till the time we see that the help has come. and this is the exact reason life becomes a trouble for us. All that we need to make heaven out of our live on this earth is "Faith". Faith turns the promise into prophecy. While it is merely a promise, Faith claims it and it becomes a prophecy. Faith says not " I see that it is good for me , so God must have sent it," but "God sent it, so it must be good for me". This attitiude will be so helpful to u that it will enable you to face all situations life throws at you. Faith, walking in the dark with God, only prays Him to clasp its hand more closely.

Talking About God.....

Why talk about God???

Two reason, one- the day being a sunday and the other I always talk about God.... He is the most real person to me.... they say the ones who have known real love and happiness cannot help but share it. And the reason for my happiness is God.
But what about God??
Now this is not to propogate a religion. We all beleive in God. But for most of us He is but Just God, the Impersonal, All Powerful, All controlling God uninfluenced by the feelings and sufferings of Humans. We have gone to the level of saying that "God is playing Chess with our lives". Nope. all our religions look at it from a different point of view and we fail to understand it and is forever unsatisfied.
My religion told me that Humans were created in the very likeness of God. Surprise we look like God----- each one of us in that matter of fact. Not even angels are our equal. so if we deduce things from what is said above then we are more powerful than angels, spirits, anything else in the whole universe---- not even the forces of evil that we are so scared of are as powerful as humans. all of them if you destroy them, are destroyed forever, but only Humans can come up even if he is sent to the dephths and depths of torment and destruction. All that human requires for this is God. God is human's hope, the only hope and existence of Humanhood. If u hv God, U have life, abundant life.
Now getting God is the difficulty. Or may be not!!! cos for God being with humans was is greatest wish. He enjoyed human fellowship. He enjoyed it so much that even while he was forever worshipped by all powerful heavenly beings, he longed for the company of Humans who had sinned against him and had gone astray. He so loved humankind that he was ready to give away His only son and then later His own spirit to humankind. Take it from any other religion everytime evil increased in the world, God became human. He came down. He doesn't really play chess with our lives, but he is ready to come down to us when we get in trouble. he is ready to make any sacrifice to win our company.
What a privilege???
And wat does He ask in return. Its the small price of our company. But the fact is that His company actually satisfies us to a level that nothing else in this world can. He thinks that we shud be partakers of such pleasure. How kind of the all powerful to be worried about pleasure as if it was a matter of His happiness. Yes, the matter of his happiness is our abundant life. Life which outflows
And thats the reson why he ask us to love Him more than anything- work, money, pleasure, enjoyment even our life. Cos the love of Him is ultimate life.

And further more when we enter into such an experience with God, the life in us outflows bringing life to anything we touch. Yes, we will be lighted- lighted to lighten. Lighten as in to bring light and to make lighter heavy burdens that men carry. Cos we have with us the ultimate solution for any heavy burden. A God who's ready to take all our burdens.

Don't you feel now such an experience is worth a try.......???

For the Generation to come......

It was very accidentally that i came across this ad. The title read "A very powerful Ad". Yes Indeed it was powerful, powerful beyond my expectations. It tells us how important it is have our ways spell checked since what we do is excactly what the children of coming generation will do. If it looks like a small thing to you, then let me warn you, our generation have already done enough damage to this beautiful universe, we cannot afford to have children like us. We need to bring them up to live harmoniously and abundantly. Possible only if we check our ways and correct them today. If you are still doubtful, let me give the full picture of it. If you are lazy,your children will also be lazy, if you drink/smoke, your kids will also smoke. If you are full of hatred, your children will also be full of hatred, If you are full of negativity, your kids will be negative too. if you live wreckless, disorganized, ur kids will be too.. If you hog, ur kids will do too... Y? Cos what they see is how you live. you can't expect them to be neat, organized, prayerful, active and smart if you cant be so. So lets take a small step. We all have good things in us. But we have flaws too. Lets take a step to change one flaw at a time to make ourselves better models for the coming generations, for our kids and the kids we teach. Lets become more neat, organized, hardworking etc, etc. But above all lets us be more INSIGHTFUL. Lets become more loving, more considerate. Lets learn to care for each other. Lets learn to adjust with and accept people, than to try and change them. Lets learn to wait for others, give space for others and let go of things that are not really worth than our life. Lets believe more explicitly in God, think beyond the terms of the clock which we tie in our hands cos we all, irrespective of our religion believe that there is more time than which our clock tells us- there's eternity. Lets aim at reaching God. One of my friends once told, that we all prefer to maintain the altitude we attained now and not try to attain more heights. Yes, we may do that. Thats safer. But by doing that we are depriving ourselves of the truly abundant life that we might obtain from God. So lets not stop at where we are. Lets try and acheive more of God so that we become more of Humans and less of animals and we build a better generation.

A Woman's Question
